Global Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)

Global Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is a sub‑function of Group Risk and Compliance that ensures HSBC operates within its Global Risk Appetite and manages its overall risk position. The team strengthens risk culture across the organization by overseeing risk management processes, controls, and compliance across global, regional, and market levels.

• Assist with the design, communication and management of the bank’s Reportable Incidents and Notable Events (RINE) process, in line with regulatory requirements, expectation, conduct rules, accountability regimes and the bank’s policies.
• Oversee the bank’s Event Classification Panel, Investigation Review Panel and Notable Event Panel.
• Confirm and track that RINE processes are independent, objective, of quality, and fair.
• Track alignment between risk and individual reward, discourage excessive risk‑taking and encourage more effective risk management to support positive behaviours and a strong and appropriate conduct culture within HSBC.
• Oversee Non‑Financial Risk Objectives (a.k.a. scorecard) to drive active risk management, compliance and conduct embedding.
• Oversee Qualitative Assessment Guidance of Material Risk Taker.
• Manage continued process improvement through feedback from lesson learned.
• Ensure consistency in approach to events reporting that assess tactical shortfalls, management actions, and recommend management action, identifies accountable individuals, and considers conduct rule breaches.

• Experience in risk management at a Globally Significant Financial Institution (GSFI).
• Understands the impact of risk management within HSBC Group and its commercial context and strategic ambitions.
• A good level of knowledge of the relevant regulatory landscape and ability to assess the impact of proposed changes in regulatory rules to the bank, especially those pertaining to risk management.
• Knowledge of a financial institutions business model, products and key risk drivers.
• A deep understanding and technical expertise of risk management, including how risks can be identified, assessed, monitored and controlled and mitigated where relevant.
• Ability to lead and promote a strong risk control culture and continually improve risk awareness.
• Proven ability to develop networks with key stakeholders in a matrix structure.
• Support a multi‑locational team of professionals.
• Providing expert advice and robust challenge, delivering risk management policies and managing risks and controls.

The pay range for this role is 21258 PLN - 29000 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
