The role forms part of the HCIB Entity RC Risk Stewardship team within CIB & HCIB Regulatory Compliance enabling the business to deliver sustainable growth by supporting the embedding of a robust risk management culture in HSBC’s business processes to ensure that the business complies with the letter and spirit of relevant regulations, thereby delivering fair outcomes for customers. The role will have a broad remit, which will include, but is not limited to providing RC advice and oversight for entity matters, support for regulatory engagement & implementation of regulatory development as required, conflict management, initiative delivery & tracking, RC review and challenge of relevant aspects HCIB/CIB Infrastructure teams & supporting the relevant governance & reporting activities required by the team.

Additionally will provide SME advice to RC in relation to the non‑financial risk framework and regulatory compliance risks and controls.

What you’ll do
  • Risk‑management:
    Promote and sustain culture in alignment with RC's role as the 2

    LoD.
  • RC Policy and Regulatory Developments:
    Coordinating as appropriate the implementation of global standards and strategic policies which ensure designated entities exposure to current risks and emerging arising risk is managed appropriately.
  • Advisory: liaison with relevant stakeholders to provide expertise and support on entity related matters, including entity & individual licensing & Regulatory Reporting.
  • Entity Compliance project support: supporting the implementation of RC programmes (e.g. employee compliance) to quantify impacts and take actions to address, manage and mitigate regulatory change impacts on designated teams within the entity; providing timely updates to Head of Entity RC Risk Stewardship, their delegates and other key stakeholders.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification in law, economics, accountancy or similar field.
  • Working experience as a compliance officer.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to support decisions with sound reasoning and clearly articulated justifications.
  • Strong collaboration, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to think laterally and solve problems.
  • Understanding or experience working with corporate banking products and services.
  • Working in a major financial institution, within a matrix environment, including reporting internationally.
  • High level of professional and personal integrity.
  • Proficiency in English language (written/spoken/formal).
  • Understanding of the purpose, value, culture and fundamentals of the Regulatory Compliance function.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities is essential.
What we offer

The pay range for this role is 19275 PLN - 26000 PLN (monthly, gross).

Additional car allowance in the amount of 4,786 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
