Job Title
Investment Service Specialist – Remote, North America (IL)
Responsibilities- Answer client calls and emails and provide superior customer service.
- Ask open‑ended questions to understand client needs and uncover advisory opportunities.
- Provide account information, balances, and transfer details.
- Execute trades on client accounts (e.g., mutual funds, other brokerage products).
- Facilitate customer asset transfers into the bank and perform account maintenance.
- Assist with online trading and basic technical support for Wealth websites.
- Process account opening and maintenance, ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
- Track activities and contacts using the client relationship management system.
- Identify and refer clients to BMO Harris Bank financial advisors and internal partners.
- Participate in outbound call campaigns to grow investment business.
- Act as secondary contact for clients when the assigned financial advisor is unavailable.
- Provide customized service for the mass market segment across mutual funds, fixed income, certificates of deposit, and other investment products.
- Resolve client issues promptly and report formal complaints to management or compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of target products, regulatory requirements, and competitive trends.
- Ensure all service activities comply with firm and regulatory policies to mitigate risk.
- Maintain accurate client and transaction records in accordance with regulatory authorities.
- Use approved marketing literature to mitigate risks and exposure.
- 2–3years of customer service experience in financial planning, securities, or insurance.
- Valid and active SIE, Series7, Series
66 (or Series
65+63). - Series
65 to be obtained within 6months of employment. - Bachelor’s degree in finance or economics preferred.
- Basic knowledge of the financial planning process and solid understanding of markets and investment products.
- Experience with managed products and/or financial planning services.
- High level of integrity: clean U‑4.
- Strong customer service, communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving ability and demonstrated ability to refer financial opportunities.
Salary ranging from $41,714.00 to $77,500.00. Compensation may include commission and performance‑based incentives. Benefits include health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
