Investment Banking Associate, AI Residency

In this role, you will apply real-world deal experience to help improve how advanced AI systems understand and reason about corporate finance, M&A, and capital markets. You will work on structured research tasks that translate investment banking judgment into high-quality training and evaluation data for frontier models.

• Contribute investment banking expertise to structured research workflows aimed at improving AI understanding of corporate finance and capital markets.
• Generate, refine, and evaluate high-quality content that reflects senior-level investment banking judgment across M&A, ECM, DCM, and leveraged finance.
• Translate complex real-world transaction experience into clear, structured reasoning outputs suitable for AI training and evaluation.
• Support the development of datasets that capture deal structuring, valuation approaches, execution processes, and client advisory perspectives.
• Review and improve AI-generated outputs to ensure accuracy, realism, and alignment with industry-standard financial reasoning.
• Apply deep expertise in financial modeling, including LBOs, DCFs, and 3-statement analysis, to validate model performance.
• Collaborate with research and technical teams to improve how frontier AI systems interpret investment banking workflows.
• Ensure consistency, precision, and clarity in all written outputs related to deal analysis and capital markets logic.

• 3–7 years of experience in investment banking or capital markets at a bulge bracket or elite boutique institution.
• Experience at Associate, VP, or Director level in M&A, ECM, DCM, leveraged finance, syndicate, or industry coverage roles.
• Strong expertise in at least one core area such as deal structuring, valuation, capital markets execution, or sector-specific advisory work.
• Advanced financial modeling skills, including LBO modeling, DCF analysis, and integrated 3-statement financial models.
• Strong understanding of transaction workflows, including pitch materials, fairness opinions, pricing, execution, and closing processes.
• Ability to clearly articulate complex financial reasoning and investment banking judgment in structured written form.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical thinking and ability to break down complex transactions into logical components.
• Strong written communication skills in English with the ability to convey technical financial concepts precisely.
