We’re working with a high-growth management consulting firm looking to appoint an Advisory Manager to support the delivery of complex financial advisory engagements and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong public accounting or accounting advisory background who enjoys solving complex financial reporting challenges, managing client relationships, and developing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead client engagements across mergers & acquisitions, IPO readiness, divestitures, interim management assignments, and technical accounting matters
- Advise clients on financial reporting, operational, and accounting implications of complex transactions
- Review financial statements and SEC filings to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and related analyses to support client decision-making
- Drive business process improvement initiatives within client finance functions
- Act as a liaison between client leadership teams and external auditors
- Manage day-to-day client relationships and identify opportunities to expand existing engagements
- Coach, mentor, and develop junior team members to ensure high-quality delivery
- Participate in recruiting efforts and contribute to broader practice growth initiatives
- Develop subject matter expertise in areas such as revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, or business combinations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred (MBA advantageous)
- 6–10 years of experience within public accounting, audit, or accounting advisory
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including US GAAP and SEC reporting
- Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities within a client-facing environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and develop junior professionals
- Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in contributing to the growth of a consulting practice
- Willingness to travel as required, including occasional overnight travel
