Supervisor, Private Equity​/Hedge Funds; REMOTE

Job Summary

The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is seeking a Fund Accounting Supervisor to manage and supervise accounting analysts on our Alternative Investment Funds team. The role involves acting as the official record keeper for hedge and private equity funds, providing accounting services, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

• Price and maintain timely records for hedge and private equity holdings using external pricing resources.
• Perform reconciliations of Net Asset Values and issue accounting reports.
• Communicate fund transactions and produce accurate accounting packages for internal and external clients.
• Coordinate and support year‑end audit engagements.
• Ensure clients comply with government laws and regulations through due diligence.
• Train and supervise accounting analysts on systems, processes, and job responsibilities.
• Manage a team environment that encourages self‑motivation, organization, and timely delivery of client deliverables.
• Correspond with external investment managers on daily inquiries, reconciliations, deliverables, and escalation concerns.
• Assist the manager in performance appraisals, monthly one‑on‑ones, and career development.
• Participate in analyst interviews to meet staffing requirements.
• Promote teamwork by supporting individual development, promotions, and disciplinary actions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the fund services industry; alternatives experience preferred.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer‑service orientation.
• Self‑motivation, organization and ability to complete multiple client deliverables on time.

Base salary $70,000 – $90,000 per year with discretionary annual bonus.

Remote – eligible for a hybrid working environment for most roles.
