Temporary Tax Manager​/Director

A global organization is seeking a Temporary Tax Manager / Director to support income tax compliance and audit activities across the U.S. and Canada. This role will play a key part in managing multiple ongoing audits, supporting tax filings, and partnering with external advisors during a transition to a new outsourcing tax firm. This is a high-impact opportunity within a fast-paced environment requiring a hands-on and solutions-oriented professional.

The Temporary
Tax Manager / Director role is a fully remote contract position.

• Manage U.S. and Canadian income tax compliance processes
• Support and coordinate multiple audits, including Canadian audits
• Review and reconcile federal and state tax accounts
• Assist with filing approximately 70 state tax returns
• Partner with external tax advisors during outsourcing transition
• Support internal restructuring initiatives and related tax projects
• Respond to tax notices and assist with audit inquiries
• Provide oversight and guidance to senior tax accountants
• Strong experience in U.S. tax with exposure to Canadian tax
• Experience working with external tax firms (e.g., Big 4 or similar)
• Background in multi-entity organizations
• Proven experience managing audits and tax compliance processes
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with minimal oversight
  
  NetSuite experience is a plus
