Haversine Funding is a specialty lender that partners exclusively with non-bank commercial finance companies, including factors, asset-based lenders, and other specialty finance providers. Haversine funds lenders rather than their borrowers, creating a clear alignment of interests and avoiding competition with clients.
The team is composed of former lenders and operators with deep industry experience, enabling practical, timely, and risk-aware execution. Haversine also contributes to industry thought leadership through its “In Focus with Haversine” podcast, covering key trends and conversations in specialty finance.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home flexibility. This role is focused on commercial lender finance and factoring/ABL relationships; consumer lending, real estate, and MCA experience are not the target background.
The Portfolio Manager - Lender Finance will oversee the account management, client / lender compliance, and ongoing relationships for building, monitoring, and retaining a performing customer base with a primary focus on factoring, including financing factors and funding factoring participations.
Overall products include participations, secured debt loans to lenders and more traditional lender finance, focused in ABL, inventory, factoring, purchase order, equipment finance, and lender finance. Some underwriting would be included as needed as well as onboarding and ongoing monitoring.
Responsibilities- Support the lending unit in the structuring and performs due-diligence, underwriting, legal documentation, closing, analyzing financial data and managing new/existing factors’ deals
- Responsible for the credit quality and performance of the factoring focused portfolio
- Accountable for loan documentation, borrowing-base calculation, the closing process and internal on-boarding of new customers
- Assists in preparation of participation and loan packages for approval, including the submission and presentation of underwriting memo and worksheets, when applicable
- Responsible to analyze and accurately document and report the financial performance of borrowers and ensure compliance with financial and loan covenants
- Build and maintain relationships with a resulting high degree of customer satisfaction
- Compile and analyze periodic financial statements and reporting of borrowers
- Provide exceptional internal and external customer service
- Help with oversight and management of troubled loans and workout situations
- Establishing scope of work, ordering, reviewing and analysis of field exams or visits
7-10+ years factoring, asset-based lender (ABL) and/or factoring lender finance experience, along with underwriting, loan structuring, credit and portfolio management, field exam, loan documentation, workouts, monitoring collateral and credit performance, economic and industry evaluations, or other directly related experience; knowledge of accounting and finance; working knowledge of commercial/corporate structures, setting of appropriate loan and financial covenants and industry standard loan documentation;
Ability to support the expand client relationships;
Strong work ethic;
Familiarity with loan processing and closing processes;
Solid problem resolution, analysis, communication skills, both verbal and written;
Bachelor’s degree in business, or finance preferred (or equivalent industry expertise); significant proficiency in Excel, positive attitude, detail oriented, accountable and reliable, solution oriented, adaptable to changes as we continue to grow the business and a desire to always seek to make things better.
