Controller; Sr. Director of Accounting

Job Summary

As Workit Health’s Controller & Director of Accounting, you will be responsible for bringing hands‑on technical accounting expertise to our nontraditional business model. Your role will lead a team to oversee financial reporting, audits, reconciliations, consolidations and taxes, and you will manage the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

• Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, revenue recognition, general ledger and taxes.
• Manage the close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of month‑end and quarter‑end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Coordinate and execute annual audits, working closely with external auditors.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports ensuring they comply with GAAP.
• Lead and manage accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and providing coaching and career development opportunities.
• Implement and monitor internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain and manage the company’s accounting system, Net Suite, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial data.
• Support the company’s strategic initiatives by providing insightful, data‑driven analysis and financial perspective.
• Directly manage Senior Accountant; partner with Manager, Finance & Strategy; report to Sr. Vice President of Finance & Strategy.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
• 8+ years of related accounting experience (ideally audit).
• Experience owning an end‑to‑end audit process.
• Experience with general ledger systems (e.g., Net Suite).
• 4+ years of management experience.
• Proven record owning end‑to‑end accounting for multiple entities.
• Strong and verifiable experience in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of US GAAP.
• Excellent communication, organization, time management and prioritization skills.

Pay range: $140,000 – $175,000 USD
