Manager, Pension Actuary

Position: Manager, Pension Actuary - Hybrid Role
Join RBC as a Manager of Actuary in a hybrid setting, overseeing crucial pension calculations and driving process improvements in Toronto. This role is pivotal in enhancing team efficiency and compliance.

In this position, you will manage complex pension scenarios while supporting legislative compliance and governance projects. You will play an essential role in mentoring junior actuaries while fostering a collaborative workspace that encourages continuous learning and efficiency in pension administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee complex pension calculations and administrative support

• Provide guidance on pension legislation and tax compliance

• Collaborate with various stakeholders on actuarial matters

• Identify opportunities for process improvements in pension operations

• Lead and mentor actuarial staff through training initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or similar discipline

• ASA/ACIA credentials; FSA/FCIA is advantageous

• Minimum of 6 to 9 years in pension actuarial experience

• Strong analytical skills with MS Excel and actuarial software

• Understanding of Ontario pension laws and practices
