We are looking for a Head of Business Control to join us at Telia.
I am Ann-Kristin Leknes Frey, the CFO at Telia Norway, and I am searching for someone ready to lead and further strengthen the Business Control function in Telia Norway. We are seeking a strong, forward‑leaning leader who combines analytical strength with sharp business acumen and the ability to create impact through leadership.
This is a key leadership role at the core of our finance organization, responsible for driving forward‑looking performance management, delivering high‑quality financial insights, and enabling better decision‑making across the business.
You will act as a close partner to the CFO and the leadership team, ensuring a strong link between strategy, financial planning, and execution.
What you’ll do:Lead and develop the Business Control function (team of
6), ensuring strong performance management across Telia Norway
Drive the end‑to‑end performance cycle: target setting, forecasting, and follow‑up on financial and operational performance
Deliver proactive insights, identify risks and opportunities, and challenge business assumptions
Strengthen decision support and ensure clear, action‑oriented financial storytelling to senior management
Ensure alignment between strategy, financial planning, and business priorities
Act as a key sparring partner to the CFO, leadership team, and Business Partners
Lead and develop a strong, high‑performing team
Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and ways of working
What will help you thrive in this role:Solid experience from finance leadership roles, ideally within Business Control / FP&A
Proven ability to drive performance management and support strategic decision‑making
Strong understanding of commercial drivers and business dynamics
Experience working closely with senior leadership teams
Relevant higher education (Finance, Economics or similar)
Excellent command of English is required;
Norwegian proficiency is preferred
