Overview

As Manager, Revenue Accounting Operations at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), you will join our high‑energy Accounting and Finance team. You will be responsible for executing and scaling revenue accounting operations, ensuring an accurate close, strong controls, and audit readiness. You must be a collaborative accounting professional who can prioritize, influence, and work effectively in a fast‑paced, growth environment, partnering with data, tax, treasury, legal, FP&A, and cross‑functional business teams.

Responsibilities
  • Own and execute the monthly revenue close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Review and oversee revenue share calculations, account reconciliations, and AR matching results.
  • Develop processes for the preparation and recording of required journal entries.
  • Maintain ownership of data flows and system dependencies for financial reporting.
  • Support cross‑functional initiatives such as new product launches, cost‑of‑revenue analysis, and ad‑hoc accounting requests.
  • Analyze results and variances, identify trends, and recommend actions.
  • Maintain process documentation and ensure SOX control readiness as the business scales.
  • Serve as revenue accounting lead for stand‑alone state audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Ensure revenue accounting practices are compliant with GAAP.
  • Coordinate and manage external audit requests, including PBCs, walkthroughs, and follow‑ups.
  • Provide hands‑on leadership to a team of revenue accounting professionals, balancing direct execution with coaching, review, and development.
  • Be open to occasional travel to Fanatics Betting & Gaming offices and other locations for conferences, events, meetings, and team‑building activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or finance.
  • 5–7 years of experience in revenue accounting, accounting operations, or a related finance role.
  • Experience building cross‑functional relationships and partnering with senior leaders.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP relating to revenue recognition and internal controls.
  • Aptitude for proactively thinking and working in a highly collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
  • Desire to develop and continuously improve processes.
  • Experience handling annual audits.
  • Excellent proficiency in spreadsheet programs and other financial analysis software with strong analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
