Team/Role OverviewThe Securities & Derivatives Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. Based in our Budapest office, the successful candidate will facilitate the clearance, settlement, and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the highest level of accuracy and efficiency in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Manage securities & cash transaction settlement, resolving inconsistencies.
- Facilitate accurate and timely asset transfers (private debt/equity).
- Process cash payments, perform bookkeeping, support liquidity management, and act as process expert.
- Handle client inquiries, provide transaction reports, and offer auxiliary services.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve payment/settlement issues.
- Build relationships, oversee outsourced tasks, and support client/product onboarding.
- Assess and mitigate risks in business decisions, safeguarding firm assets.
- Resolve internal and external reconciliation breaks.
- Escalate potential issues promptly to minimize bank risk.
- Recommend process improvements using data analysis.
- Maintain data integrity by adhering to manuals and controls.
- Support procedural changes and contribute to BAU administration.
- Review and approve complex transactions from associates.
- Develop and deliver training to enhance team skills.
- Troubleshoot system flows and perform post-trade adjustments.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in Financial Services, Operations, Accounting, Finance, or a related business area.
- A strong understanding of Treasury products, accounting principles, and financial market regulations.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the procedural requirements for securities transaction processing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills with a high attention to detail.
- A proactive and results-oriented mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (experience with macros and data analysis is a plus).
- Experience with financial systems such as Aladdin is considered an advantage.
