Role Overview
Principal Program Cost Controls Analyst (P3) leading financial planning, analysis, and execution for the PATRIOT Radar Integrated Product Team within the Raytheon Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) division. The role is fully remote but requires work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories).
Responsibilities- Perform detailed financial analysis for both total program and product level cost elements to define monthly and quarterly variances from budget and EAC positions.
- Maintain accurate records for Budget and EAC tracking to ensure adequate funding is available using Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
- Support the preparation of cost estimates for new business proposals and assist Estimating and Program Analysts in developing basis of estimate rationales.
- Conduct risk and opportunity valuation and assess impact on contract profitability.
- Support material forecast, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Long Range Plan (LRP).
- Ensure alignment in assumptions between Program Office, FP&A Finance, OSQ Function, and Factory (FOMs) to drive performance.
- Develop analysis to support OSQ Monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and monthly reviews (PER/M /S&OP/S&OE).
- Handle ad‑hoc analytical requests.
- University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of three years of experience.
- Experienced user of SAP (APEX and/or Prism), RTN PMX, or similar system.
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Tool Suite, particularly with Excel.
- Self‑starter with a positive attitude, willing to take on challenges.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Operations finance or factory/manufacturing finance experience.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial information in support of a business portfolio.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
