Position Summary

The Financial Systems Controller serves as a key liaison between Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT, with primary responsibility for aftermarket financial analysis and support of controlling and accounting processes. This role has a strong emphasis on inventory accounting, cost accuracy, and end‑to‑end warehouse and distribution flows.
The position plays a critical leadership role in system initiatives, including serving as the finance lead for warehouse management system (WMS) implementations, ensuring alignment with financial controls, data integrity, and reporting requirements. In addition, the role provides operational controlling support to a supply chain and parts distribution organization, driving financial transparency and performance insight.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations stakeholders to align system capabilities with business strategies and accounting requirements, with a focus on inventory and distribution processes.
- Serve as the finance lead on WMS implementations and enhancements, ensuring proper design and integration of inventory valuation, transaction flows, and financial postings.
- Working knowledge of SAP, including relevant modules such as FI/CO, MM, and WM/EWM, and understanding of system integrations is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field required; MBA, CPA, or advanced degree preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in financial systems, business analysis, or finance roles supporting supply chain and operations.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, with emphasis on inventory accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
- Experience supporting or leading ERP and/or WMS implementations within a manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment.
- Working knowledge of SAP, including relevant modules such as FI/CO, MM, and WM/EWM, and understanding of system integrations is preferred.
- Ability to translate financial and operational requirements into system solutions and drive alignment across stakeholders.
- Experience with financial data validation, reconciliations, and internal controls within system environments.
