The Associate Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions. You will establish metrics, provide data analyses, and work directly to support business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium, and long-term financial and competitive position.
- Report to the Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting.
- Ensure data integrity by developing and executing necessary processes and controls around the flow of data.
- Develop, build, and continuously improve complex reserving models leveraging cloud-based technology and advanced analytics.
- Play a key role in the development, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of a cloud-based reserving model.
- Leverage tools such as Databricks and Power BI to build, automate, and optimize reporting processes.
- Conduct in-depth analyses to identify opportunities for improving reserve accuracy, translating findings into actionable enhancements.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation.
- Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
- Proficient with SAS/SQL.
- Experience with Databricks or Power BI.
This is a remote position. Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required. Employees in specific states (California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota) will receive a bi-weekly payment for internet expenses.
