This position plays an essential role in guiding fiscal operations that support the Bureau of Disability Determination. It requires strong analytical skills, financial judgment, and consistent attention to detail. As a Fiscal Management Specialist 3, you will perform the following duties:
- Fiscal Leadership: Provide direction and oversight to fiscal staff to ensure efficient daily operations
- Data Analysis: Retrieve and interpret fiscal information from systems such as NCPS, DCPS, SAP, and BW to support accurate reporting
- Budget Management: Oversee development, review, and monitoring of state budgets, funding levels, and obligation reports
- Audit Preparation: Compile fiscal documentation and support audit requests by state and federal partners
- Policy Compliance: Follow federal and state regulations to guide fiscal practices and ensure proper governance
- Process Improvement:
Review existing work procedures and implement enhancements to strengthen fiscal operations

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
