Investigative Trading Analyst

Position: Investigative Trading Analyst - Hybrid Role
Exciting opportunity for an Investigative Trading Analyst at CIRO, based in Toronto, Ontario, with a hybrid work model. Conduct investigations, report findings, and support regulatory initiatives.

This full-time role involves conducting preliminary investigations of potential violations of UMIR and Canadian securities laws. As a Senior Investigative Trading Analyst, you will assess complaints and mentor assigned traders while developing new monitoring systems. Your contributions will support regulatory reviews and help maintain compliance across the trading landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify UMIR or securities law violations

• Write clear preliminary investigation reports with findings

• Review complaints to determine necessary further action

• Coach and oversee the work of Investigative Trading Analysts

• Support development of new monitoring tools and systems

Requirements:

• Completion of Canadian Securities Course and Trainer Training Course

• Professional development in Economics or Commerce an asset

• Bilingual in French and English is a plus

• Knowledge of investigative practices and trading systems

• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
