Senior Manager, Strategic Finance & Corporate Valuation

Reports to the Associate Director, Strategic Finance & Corporate Valuation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support projects, initiatives and analyses that inform strategic capital allocation and resourcing decisions.
  • Develop financial models and perform valuation analyses for internal portfolio and growth initiatives.
  • Conduct financial modeling and valuation analyses, and develop investment cases for business development and mergers & acquisitions.
  • Analyze industry trends, themes and peer company developments, and synthesize implications for Genmab’s business and equity value.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Strategy & Corporate Development, Business Development & Licensing, R&D, Commercialization, Human Resources and others.
  • Track performance against plan for transformation initiatives to provide transparency and accountability alongside FP&A.
  • Report on industry trends and peer developments, translating their impact on Genmab and improving overall strategic decision‑making quality.
  • Support portfolio strategy and investment decisions through formal business case development and partnership with R&D, Commercialization and Corporate & Business Development.
  • Partner with Corporate & Business Development to support execution and implementation of strategic transactions.
  • Support long‑range planning, corporate strategy development, implementation and execution.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Drive the annual budget process and the quarterly forecast process.
  • Partner with business units to manage expenses by providing deep insights through reports and analysis, improving forecasting accuracy.
  • Create, enhance and maintain financial models related to forecasting and planning.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and recommend improvements, efficiencies and automation.
  • Partner with Finance & Accounting to ensure effective utilization of systems, Excel models/tools, reporting and information sharing, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Work closely with business leaders and the finance team on ad‑hoc projects to provide in-depth business case analysis and reporting that drives data‑based decisions.
Work Arrangement

This role offers flexibility to work away from the office for 20%–40% of a typical schedule. Employees may use this schedule in increments of single days or multiple consecutive days, provided it does not exceed 40% within a 60‑day period and is approved by the hiring manager.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field. MBA preferred.
  • At least 4 years of progressive experience in investment banking, private equity or hedge funds.
  • Prior healthcare investment banking and/or buy‑side (PE/HF) experience highly preferred.
  • Prior healthcare equity research experience or corporate development with strong financial modeling skills also considered.
Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial modeling, valuation, corporate finance and the capital markets.
  • Strong interest in the global biotech/pharma industry.

Compensation

Salary band (US based candidates): $ – $. The actual offer will consider a range of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location, and may include discretionary bonuses and long‑term incentives.
