Job Overview
A law firm seeks a qualified Tax Associate for its Corporate and Tax group in Tampa, FL. Remote work is considered. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of transactional tax experience, focusing on substantive tax issues in mergers and acquisitions, entity and fund formations, or joint ventures.
Duties- Handle substantive tax issues in mergers and acquisitions.
- Engage in entity and fund formations or joint ventures.
- Participate in tax controversy and general corporate matters.
- Interact directly with clients and assume immediate responsibility.
- Minimum of two years of transactional tax experience.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
- LL.M. in Taxation preferred.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Ability to handle substantive tax issues in M&A.
- Strong business acumen and practical intelligence.
- Ability to relate to clients effectively.
