FedPoint’s Finance Department plays a crucial role in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting all financial aspects of the federal and commercial benefits administration contracts. We ensure compliance, optimize financial controls, and guide the company’s strategic financial direction to fuel growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Analysis & Reporting (55% of time):
- Coordinate vendor cost analyses, invoicing, performance tracking, and forecasting.
- Oversee cost submissions and unit cost analysis for the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program.
- Assess IT spend, review contracts, and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
- Expand and update unit rate analysis, supporting expense studies and department-specific metrics.
- Create key tracking reports correlating financial/business results, ensuring alignment with profitability and growth.
- Assist in vendor contract management and financial decision support for new/renewal contracts.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.
- Project Management & Special Projects (10% of time):
- Serve as the primary finance contact for company projects, delivering financial input for key initiatives.
- Budgeting & Financial Planning (20% of time):
- Lead and assist with the annual departmental budgeting process, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Accounting & Reconciliations (15% of time):
- Support the monthly financial close process and reconciliation efforts.
- Crosstrain within the finance team to provide support across functions (Accounts Payable, Banking, etc.).
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of hands‑on experience in accounting or finance roles.
- CPA or MBA credentials are a plus.
- Familiarity with general ledger systems and financial report writing.
- Proven ability to collaborate with various business units to guide financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making.
- Experience working closely with senior management to provide strategic financial insights.
- Strong background in accounting models, financial reporting, and reconciliations.

ScheduleHybrid schedule, option to work from home a few days a week.
CompensationThe typical starting salary would be between $90-$107k/year, based on qualifications and experience as it relates to our requirements. Eligible for an annual discretionary employee bonus plan based on company metric performance as well as a full suite of benefits.
