Trust Officer

Ascendo is excited to present an amazing opportunity in the wealth management industry. We are looking for an experienced Trust Officer to join a fantastic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing trust portfolios and a deep understanding of international regulations, particularly concerning FATCA and CRS regimes. This role is a primarily remote position, though it requires the individual to be based in South Florida for periodic in-person meetings.

• Oversee the routine administration of a trust portfolio, ensuring full compliance with all laws and regulations.
• Serve as the primary liaison for beneficiaries, providing professional support and preparing necessary reports and communications.
• Coordinate the preparation of financial statements and regulatory reports for trusts and their associated entities.
• Administer trust distributions, managing both communication with beneficiaries and the processing of payments.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel and various service providers as required.

• 8+ years of experience within the trust and fiduciary sector.
• A strong grasp of finance, accounting, and tax regulations.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and manage a fast-paced workload.
• Experience with corporate structures and governance.
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as finance, accounting, or law.
• In-depth familiarity with international compliance standards including AML and KYC.
