The Director – Corporate, Specialty and Government PM is a senior portfolio management role.
SummaryThe Director I is responsible for the management of a portfolio of commercial loans within the Corporate, Specialty and Government Banking division / Vertical group. Primary responsibilities include underwriting quality, portfolio monitoring and portfolio administration for an assigned portfolio. The Director will frequently collaborate with internal partners such as Relationship Management, Credit Administration, Capital Markets, Treasury Management, and other product partners to optimize customer relationships.
A Director I level colleague is generally viewed as a subject matter expert in the industry they cover.
- Underwrite complex commercial loans in accordance with Huntington credit policies.
- Monitor a portfolio of commercial loans, proactively identifying emerging risks and escalating issues.
- Perform portfolio administration including management of delinquencies, collateral exceptions, borrowing base and covenant compliance, product renewals, and other applicable tasks.
- Attend client calls (virtual or in-person) with Relationship Management and other Bank partners, establishing positioning as secondary bank contact for the portfolio of covered clients.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market and industry trends; conduct industry and market research using available resources.
- Assist with training and mentoring of Analyst, Associate and Associate Director level colleagues.
- Provide accurate and timely front-end guidance to Relationship Management colleagues, drawing upon knowledge of Huntington credit policies and credit culture.
- Review and negotiate credit documentation in consultation with legal counsel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 8+ years of experience in an underwriting or commercial banking environment
- Formal credit training
- Experience in the syndicated loan market
- Proficiency in S&P Capital IQ
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Microsoft Excel)
- Exempt Status:
Yes = not eligible for overtime pay;
No = eligible for overtime pay

CompensationRange
$93,000. Annual Salary
The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
