Financial Analyst, Transformation

Cogeco is actively seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team as part of a three-year strategic transformation. The role focuses on building and challenging financial models, partnering with operational teams, and providing strategic insights to senior leadership.

• Take full ownership of financial modeling; build business cases and rigorously challenge assumptions to ensure maximum ROI.
• Work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with operational teams to identify and quantify untapped revenue streams and cost‑optimization opportunities.
• Act as a translator between business needs and technical execution; collaborate with the BI team to design dashboards and automate recurring reports.
• Establish North Star KPIs that drive the transformation, monitoring metrics closely to safeguard long‑term business health.
• Partner with assigned business functions to track financial performance, provide forecasts, and compile analysis to guide decision‑making and strategy.
• Research and communicate close meetings highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Build business relationships and implement initiatives with operational teams to optimize costs and ensure value for Cogeco.
• Build and improve business models as part of Business Transformation processes.
• Create presentation materials to effectively communicate results and actions.
• Attend staff meetings to communicate financial topics with a focus on proactivity.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive short‑ and long‑term objectives.
• Facilitate ongoing compliance with internal procedures, policies, and best financial practices.
• Complete other projects and analyses as assigned or as needs are recognized.

• 3–5+ years experience in a finance‑related role (industry experience not required).
• Undergraduate degree in a business‑related field with emphasis in finance and/or accounting (CPA or Master’s degree a plus).
• Proficient with accounting principles, financial terms, budgets, and financial reports.
• Proficiency in French and English (bilingualism required).
• High degree of maturity, honesty, trust, and integrity.
• Ability to partner with all levels of the organization.
• Self‑starter, creative thinker with solid analytical problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to maintain high accuracy.
• Excellent time‑management and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Proficient with Google and Microsoft suite.
• Experience with Financial Systems (Workday experience a plus).
