Are you an experienced pricing actuary looking to take the lead in shaping pricing strategy and driving profitable growth?
This is a highly visible role where you'll partner closely with underwriting and portfolio management teams to influence business decisions across a diverse reinsurance portfolio. You'll combine technical pricing expertise with commercial insight, helping to develop strategies, enhance pricing capabilities, and support sustainable portfolio performance.
Leading a team of pricing professionals, you'll play a key role in building actuarial excellence, delivering innovative pricing solutions, and ensuring business decisions are supported by robust analysis and data‑driven insights.
Your new role- Develop and implement pricing strategies that support sustainable and profitable growth across the reinsurance portfolio.
- Partner with Underwriting and Portfolio Management teams to provide commercial pricing expertise and influence key business decisions.
- Lead and oversee pricing activity, ensuring business decisions are supported by robust modelling, analysis and insights.
- Develop, enhance and maintain pricing models, tools and methodologies to meet evolving business needs.
- Deliver portfolio, product and profitability analyses, identifying trends, opportunities and emerging risks.
- Support business planning, forecasting and performance monitoring through the provision of pricing and management information.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on pricing‑related matters.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of pricing professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Significant pricing actuarial experience within Life General Insurance or Reinsurance market.
- Experience developing pricing strategies and delivering commercially focused pricing solutions.
- Ability to build and enhance actuarial models, pricing tools and methodologies.
- Leadership experience, with a track record of developing and managing high‑performing teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with confidence engaging senior business leaders.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to balance technical excellence with business objectives.
- Experience using analytical and programming tools such as Excel, VBA, SQL, R or similar.
- Actuarial qualification (e.g. FIA, FCAS, ACAS or equivalent).
