Position Overview

Position may be eligible for remote work in select geographic locations, subject to approval. Work must be conducted from a quiet, secure, and confidential home‑based workspace. Occasional in‑office participation may be required based on business needs.

• Works independently with little or no oversight.
• Exercises exception and elevated approval authority.
• Prepares offerings for all types of transactions at any level of complexity or manages a portfolio as assigned.
• Interacts with internal and external customers.
• Provides recommendations for credit structuring.
• Serves as subject‑matter expert for certain asset classes.
• Coaches, leads, and trains the group.
• Uses independent judgment to identify risks and mitigants, preparing offerings and/or scorecards such as risk ratings by analyzing credit, collateral strength, and financial worthiness of loan/transaction parties.
• May perform relevant pre‑approval and post‑approval activities.
• Identifies and confirms all external regulatory requirements.
• Ensures internal policies and procedures are followed.
• Makes recommendations on credit decisions or makes credit decisions directly, as appropriate.
• Coaches and/or reviews the work of other underwriters and fills in for management when required.
• Contacts internal and external parties to gather information and clarify inconsistencies or missing data.

• University or college degree with 5+ years of industry‑relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience (including military service).
• Knowledge of IRS Code Sections 42 and 47, equity structures and documentation.
• Experience in credit decisions, financial analysis, risk assessment, process improvements, and market research.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making, and critical‑thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coach others.
• Knowledge of underwriting and regulatory environment.
• No specific certification or license required; comparable qualifications may be considered.

Base Salary: $91,000.00 – $ (varies by geographic location, market data and individual skills, experience, and education). Incentive eligible.
