As the Manager, FP&A - Finance, Merch & Creative, you define your role as a strategic partner for the functional organizations you support. The execution of this has you partnering with people leaders and team members to accomplish business objectives.
You will be responsible for supporting financial outcomes through the execution of OPEX and capital planning strategies that align with our business objectives. You will help develop financial frameworks that guide decision-making, ensuring efficient resource allocation and investment prioritization. Working closely with cross‑functional teams and senior leadership, you will contribute to aligning financial planning with operational goals, optimizing spending, and supporting growth in a fast‑paced environment.
This role is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

FP&A at Arc’teryx is responsible for providing business leaders with the information they need to review past performance, understand business trends, and anticipate future profitability and financial position. Through review of historic financials, variance analysis and KPI tracking, FP&A advises leadership on key investment decisions and performance improvement. This role is dedicated to supporting our Finance, Merchandising & Creative functions, working as a close business partner to ensure financial stewardship, inclusive of forecasting, planning and tracking of spend, in alignment with the overall goals and objectives of the organizations they support.
Core Activities
Managing the budget and forecasting planning cycle for the Finance, Merchandising & Creative functions, using a KPI‑driven approach to ensure financial plans support business growth and performance.
Collaborating with the teams you support to analyze variances against forecast, budget, and prior‑year results on a monthly and quarterly basis, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
Leading the presentation of monthly global P&L reviews, partnering with senior operators to ensure financial goals are aligned with operational performance.
Partnering with the Finance, Merchandising & Creative teams to evaluate financial feasibility ensuring alignment with strategic growth objectives and ROI targets.
Working closely with the broader FP&A team during budget and planning cycles to ensure key investment requirements and long‑term vision for the vertical channel are well‑represented.
Developing and enhancing reporting tools to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
Managing the development and maintenance of the long‑range, driver‑based financial model for the Finance, Merchandising & Creative functions, ensuring it reflects both financial and business objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; a professional accounting designation is preferred.
5+ years proven experience in an FP&A or equivalent role.
Advanced analytical skills with strong aptitude for MS Excel and data analysis tools; experience with SAP FICO, Oracle & Power BI is an asset.
Ability to use numbers to tell a story, think outside the box and add value to an analysis rather than just stating the numbers/facts.
Strong advisory skills with ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments, organizations, and countries.
Proactive in identifying root cause of issues and developing solutions.
Highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity.

Compensation
Salary range: CAD $107,000 – $134,000.
