The Office of Grants & Contracts Administration (OGCA) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks is hiring two experienced research administration professionals (Sr. Pre‑Award Analyst) to help move ambitious research from proposal to impact.
ResponsibilitiesIn this Pre‑Award role you will support sophisticated grants and contracts proposal submissions, advise faculty and research administrators, and help shape processes that keep research moving forward accurately, compliantly, and thoughtfully. You will bring deep expertise in federal and non‑federal research administration, apply complex regulations and policies with sound judgment, and work independently while collaborating across a large, diverse research enterprise.
Success requires balancing technical excellence with strong communication, problem‑solving, and service.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, statistics or related field and 3 years progressively responsible professional fiscal experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Professional licensure preferred (e.g., CPA, CFM).
- Must currently hold or be able to obtain Certified Research Administrator (CRA) certification within 3 years;
Certified Pre‑Award Research Administrator (CPRA) is acceptable, CRA preferred.
This full‑time, exempt staff position is based on the Troth Yeddha’ Campus at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF). A hybrid work arrangement may be available for candidates residing within a 50‑mile radius of the campus. Remote work may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates who reside outside that radius. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 80, based on education and experience.
