The Senior Financial Advisor – Bedfordview role is a full‑time, hybrid position based in Johannesburg, with flexibility for some work from home. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include meeting with clients to assess their financial needs, developing comprehensive financial plans, and advising on investments, insurance solutions, and retirement strategies. The role involves building and maintaining a strong client network, conducting ongoing portfolio reviews, and ensuring that all recommendations are compliant with regulatory and company standards.
The Senior Financial Advisor is expected to drive business growth through proactive prospecting, referrals, and relationship management, while participating in continuous professional development and mentorship opportunities offered by IWCP. This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and consistent follow‑through on planning, organizing, and time management.
- Candidates should possess strong Financial Planning and Financial Advisory skills, with a track record of developing client‑centric, compliant financial solutions.
- Candidates should possess solid Finance and Investments expertise, including portfolio construction, risk assessment, and long‑term wealth‑creation strategies.
- Candidates should possess Retirement Planning capabilities, including knowledge of retirement products, income planning, and regulatory requirements.
- Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills, with an entrepreneurial mindset and an established or growing client network.
- Candidates should possess effective planning, organizing, and time management abilities, as well as resilience, goal orientation, and the capacity to work both independently and within a team.
- Grade 12 (Matric) is required; a relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields is advantageous.
- Clear credit record and no criminal record are essential; appropriate regulatory accreditation and licensing, or the ability to obtain them, are required.
- Previous experience in financial services or advisory roles is beneficial, though comprehensive training and mentoring are available for suitable candidates without industry experience.
