This position supports statewide efforts to review financial risks and assist in the development of key audit plans. The role helps guide important decisions that influence how agencies respond to potential concerns. As a Risk Assessment Executive Financial Associate, you will perform the following duties:
- Understanding Objectives: Gain knowledge of strategic goals and performance measures for the audit organization
- Policy Awareness: Stay aware of policies, activities, and resource use within the Bureau of Audits to support its mission
- Risk Assessment Support: Assist the Audit Manager in facilitating risk assessments and evaluating multi agency processes
- Analytical Review: Apply data mining and analytical methods to identify patterns, trends, and irregularities using audit tools
- Communication: Share progress updates with the Audit Manager and discuss any issues that arise
- Collaboration: Support teamwork by exchanging knowledge with colleagues

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Alternate Work Schedule available upon completion of probationary period
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, with occasional in-office days when work dictates such requirements. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years as an Accounting Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) and completion of 21 college credits in accounting and an additional 3 credits in finance or accounting; or
- Two years as a Fiscal Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) and completion of 21 college credits in accounting and an additional 3 credits in finance or accounting; or
- A bachelor's degree including 21 credits in accounting and an additional 3 credits in finance or accounting; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 21 college credits in accounting and an additional 3 credits in finance or accounting.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 6 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credit.
