The Impact You Will Have

In this role, you will help shape the financial backbone of Allianz Commercial. By ensuring accurate and transparent reporting, you will directly support key business decisions and strengthen trust with stakeholders worldwide. Beyond the day-to-day, you will play an active role in driving innovation, improving processes, and contributing to finance transformation initiatives. Your work will have real visibility and impact, influencing how we operate and grow as a global organization - giving you the opportunity to develop your expertise while helping to shape the future of finance at Allianz Commercial.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• You will ensure IFRS, GAAP and statutory closing and reporting tasks are accurate and timely.
• You will perform journal entries, postings and account reconciliations.
• You will reconcile intercompany transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• You will coordinate and reconcile data from front-end systems.
• You will manage monthly legal entity closing, including accruals and adjustments.
• You will validate financial results and ensure balance sheet consistency.
• You will document and improve accounting processes, controls and workflows.
• You will analyse global P&L and balance sheet positions.
• You will collaborate with auditors, Group Accounting and regulators.
• You will support finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring to the Role

• You have a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• You have 5-7 years of experience in insurance accounting, reporting, audit or controlling.
• You have strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP and Solvency II.
• You have experience with SAP (FI/BW) and advanced Excel skills.
• You have experience managing complex accounting processes and reconciliations.
• You bring strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• You demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities.
• You communicate clearly with international stakeholders.
• You have experience working in global and cross-functional environments.
• Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial.
• You have good German communication (able to write external reports in German) and fluent in English.
