Overview
Global Markets Product Control is a division of Global Banking and Markets Finance responsible for the production and independent validation of Global Markets' profit and loss and balance sheet. Product Control ensures accounting policies are applied consistently and trading portfolios are valuated. Daily processes include P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, substantiation, reporting and close engagement with stakeholders.
Responsibilities- PnL analysis and production process performance for particular trading desks within the Global Markets business.
- Review of new trade P&L, market environment P&L, carry P&L, and cancel and amend P&L.
- Production of accurate Value‑at‑Risk (VaR) / non‑VaR P&L attribution for back‑testing reuse for particular trading desks.
- Upload results for management review and prepare commentary and analysis.
- Identify and resolve production exceptions collaboratively with other Product Control teams.
- Basic balance sheet analysis and control tasks.
- University graduate (or final year) in finance, economics, mathematics, physics, engineering or a related discipline.
- Excellent written English and oral communication skills.
- Good understanding of financial markets, product life‑cycle, accounting principles and valuation techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills and a proactive problem‑solving mindset.
- Ambitious, driven and enthusiastic.
- Valuation/Product Control experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
The pay range for this role is 5960 PLN – 7500 PLN (monthly, gross).
Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
