Weissman is looking for a Tax Accountant who enjoys solving complex problems and helping the business grow in a way that is both financially smart and fully compliant. In this role, you will partner across Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure our tax strategy keeps pace with the company’s expansion across states and international markets. Your work will help the business navigate nexus requirements, manage indirect tax obligations, and ensure our systems and processes support accurate and efficient tax reporting.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting tax regulations to real business decisions. From leading nexus studies and supporting tax audits to building tax logic within our ERP systems, you will play an important role in protecting the company from risk while identifying opportunities to optimize duties and tax structures. If you enjoy working independently, collaborating across teams, and translating complex tax rules into practical solutions for a growing organization, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct domestic and international nexus studies to determine where the business has tax collection and remittance obligations.

Monitor and interpret changes in state, local, and international tax regulations and ensure company policies and processes remain compliant.

Manage indirect tax audits and serve as the primary contact with third‑party tax advisors to defend filings and minimize financial exposure.

Partner with Supply Chain to audit international customs and duties and identify opportunities for duty drawback or cost optimization.

Ensure tax implications are properly evaluated as the company expands sourcing, distribution, and international operations.

Maintain and enhance tax logic within ERP and tax systems to ensure accurate product taxability and transaction mapping.

Manage product taxability matrices and state registration portals to support ongoing compliance across jurisdictions.

Advise leadership on the tax implications of growth initiatives, including new warehouse locations and international market expansion.

Partner with Customer Service, Accounts Receivable, and Vendor Management teams to strengthen internal tax compliance controls.

Develop and deliver internal education or guidance to teams on tax compliance requirements and regulatory updates.

QUALIFICATIONS Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with a focus in Accounting or Finance.

Experience

1 to 3 years of professional experience in a tax‑related role required.

4 to 6 years of professional experience in a tax‑related role preferred.

Experience working with indirect taxes such as sales/use tax, VAT, or GST preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong knowledge of multi‑state sales and use tax and international VAT/GST regulations.
