Job SummaryCredit Risk Review (CRR) is part of the second line of defense, accountable to the Chief Risk Officer and the Key Corp Board of Directors. The role performs the organization’s loan review function, completing an annual review plan that includes periodic and continuous file reviews. CRR ensures accurate and timely risk ratings, provides an independent assessment of the loan portfolio quality, evaluates lending personnel and management compliance with policies, and conducts continuous loan monitoring with line‑of‑business executives and Credit Risk Management.
The Credit Review Officer leads reviewers, writes reports of conclusions and recommendations, and participates in special projects and ongoing credit‑risk intelligence activities.
- Perform annual review plan through periodic and continuous file reviews.
- Ensure accurate and timely risk ratings and assess credit quality.
- Provide independent assessment of overall loan portfolio quality.
- Evaluate lending personnel and management activities for compliance with lending policies.
- Conduct continuous loan review and monitoring, interacting with Line of Business executives and Credit Risk Management to identify credit‑risk shifts.
- Lead a team of reviewers, conduct portfolio reviews, provide challenge, and write reports of conclusions and recommendations.
- Participate in special projects and ongoing credit‑risk intelligence activities and related training.
- Bachelor’s Degree – preferred;
Master’s Degree – preferred. - 6–12 years of credit experience in Payments and/or Counter party Credit Risk – preferred.
- Relevant professional certification preferred:
Pro Sight/RMA Credit Risk Certification (CRC) or Moody’s Analytics Certificate in Commercial Credit (CICC). - Advanced credit skills and ability to assign risk ratings based on regulatory guidance and internal policies.
- Ability to assess client creditworthiness and conduct independent financial analysis.
- Advanced business writing skills and ability to present information effectively to senior management.
- Capability to work independently, prioritize, execute assignments, communicate delays, and delegate when necessary.
- Leadership skills: manage project staff, deliver performance feedback, and lead reviews or ad‑hoc projects.
- Advanced understanding of lending products, business, industry, and regulatory concepts; subject‑matter expert in a specific lending discipline, product, or line of business.
- Ability to develop relationships with internal bank clients and build lasting relationships across Key.

Eligible for a base salary in the range of $96,000.00 – $ annually, with eligibility for incentive compensation that may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives. This position also offers eligibility for a benefits package and flexible work options if the role can be performed effectively in a mobile environment.
