About the business area - Group AuditThe Internal Audit Group plays a crucial role in providing independent and objective assurance to the Board of Directors. The Group’s activities are designed to provide consulting services that add value to the organisation and enhance the quality of the internal control system through a systematic and disciplined approach. Leveraging advanced technologies, data analytics, and professionally qualified auditors. Thus contributing to the effectiveness of the organisation's risk management, control, and governance processes.
Responsibilities- The primary purpose of the role is to support the execution of internal audits, risk assessments, and investigation activities in accordance with internal audit standards and guidelines, ensuring effective governance, risk management, and control processes across the bank
- Conduct audit fieldwork in accordance with the annual audit plan.
- Update audit work and documentation in the audit management system on a real-time basis.
- Support the Manager/Lead Auditor in preparing audit observations and findings.
- Ensure appropriate application of auditing principles, standards, and practice
- Assist in developing and maintaining risk registers.
- Support the preparation of audit programs.
- Contribute to the implementation of a risk-based audit methodology in line with internal standards.
- Assist with special audit assignments and advisory reviews.
- Participate in whistleblowing investigations and related reviews.
- Provide insightful analysis and support to senior management where required
- Adhere to all organisational and departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure work is completed consistently and in accordance with established standards.
- Maintain quality and compliance in all audit activities
- Minimum 2- 5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
Operational Audits, Financial Audits, Credit Reviews, Information Systems (IS) Audits (preference for credit OR IT Audit experience) - Bachelor's Degree in relevant specialization
- Professional certification in Auditing preferred
- Good communication skills and stakeholder management
- Role is based full time in Abu Dhabi
