Overview
This position provides personal financial services at assigned military installations. Core duties include comprehensive financial counseling, education, and referral services for service members and their families, as well as coordination of classes, workshops, and virtual counseling modalities to support financial readiness across the military lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Deliver one‑on‑one personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
- Conduct briefings, presentations, and seminars on topics such as deployment, post‑deployment, and career events outlined in DoDI 1322.34.
- Provide referrals to external resources when appropriate and coordinate virtual or electronic counseling via web‑based, secure chat, or video platforms.
- Assist service members in developing spending plans for extended absences.
- Prepare and disseminate informational financial materials and publicize workshops and classes.
- Collaborate with installation and branch Points of Contact to ensure program scope and needs are met.
- Manage duty‑to‑warn situations following DoD protocol.
- Participate in regular supervision, in‑service training, quality improvement committees, and contract activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned that align with the role’s intent.
- Bachelor's degree required (associate degree plus 4 years of experience or high school diploma plus 6 years may be considered).
- Minimum 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
- U.S. citizenship and fluency in English required; bilingual English/Spanish required if contract dictates.
- Must obtain a Tier2 investigation clearance.
- Pass required Organizational Conflict of Interest disclosures.
- Current certification as an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) required.

Salary range: $58,440–$93,500 annually. Short‑term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package may apply.
