Summary
Under limited direction, the Accountant 3 prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
DescriptionUnder limited direction, the Accountant 3 prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
Duties & Responsibilities- While maintaining the most complex ledger accounts, the Accountant 3 is responsible for analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and various obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
- Communicates findings to management. Leads, coordinates, and conducts significant accounting projects.
- May lead and/or train less-experienced accountants.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 3 or more years of experience in accounting, bank accounting/reporting, financial reporting or other financial regulatory-related field.
- Experience should include basic knowledge of banking regulations and/or core banking processes.
- Robust analytical, critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships.
- Ability to multi-task successfully and excel in team oriented as well as individually driven assignments.
- Public accounting experience.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with General Ledger, Loan Origination systems, Loan Servicing systems, regulatory reporting and/or banking regulations is preferred.
- Essbase experience is a plus.

Compensation Range$57,000–$113,000 Annual Salary. The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
