Finance Department (FD) is responsible for the financial management of the GIC group, ensuring stewardship and reporting. We act as finance business partners to optimize corporate financial planning and operating budgets, harnessing data and technology to create insights for decision‑making and achieve excellence in financial operations.
What impact can you make in this role?As a Finance Business Partner (FBP) to GIC’s technology departments, you will be a trusted advisor who bridges finance and technology. You will own financial planning, performance management and advisory for stakeholders, build dashboards and insights, and modernize FP&A and reporting with automation and AI to shape how the GIC Group allocates and optimises its technology investments.
What will you do as a Finance Business Partner?- Act as the primary finance partner to assigned technology departments, providing financial reporting, analysis, and advisory.
- Help technology teams optimise resources, challenge spend, track value and ensure disciplined decisions aligned with GIC’s priorities.
- Lead the annual planning and budgeting cycle, delivering timely, accurate forecasts that surface opportunities and risks early.
- Build insightful dashboards and reports using data analytics to give leaders clear, data‑driven views.
- Drive automation and AI into FP&A and reporting, streamlining processes and improving insight quality.
- Support benchmarking, business cases and improvement initiatives to strengthen financial excellence.
- Apply FP&A, financial modelling, business controls and compliance knowledge to guide stakeholders and mentor junior team members.
- Degree in Finance and Accounting.
- 6‑10 years of progressive finance experience, including recent roles supporting technology functions in financial institutions or large multinationals.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership across levels.
- Proficiency in FP&A, controllership, business controls, processes, and compliance with statutory regulations.
- High agility, acting quickly and adapting plans to changing demands.
- Driven self‑starter with initiative and resourcefulness.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, interpreting complex data sets and providing actionable insights.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI or equivalent) an added advantage.
- Experience applying automation and advanced analytics within finance an added advantage.
