Position Summary
The Credit Monitoring Analyst II supports the commercial credit monitoring and portfolio management for the Bank through the review and analysis of borrower and guarantor financial information, testing of financial covenants, and post-closing loan review to ensure alignment between loan approval, documentation, and tracking system.
Responsibilities- Accurately calculate financial ratios and monitor borrower covenants for compliance as outlined in loan documents.
- Effectively communicate borrower performance and trend analysis to appropriate parties.
- Complete post-booking reviews on commercial loans to ensure accuracy of loan documents and proper tracking of covenants.
- Analyze financial statements and credit history of existing and potential clients.
- Provide additional support to Credit Administration for special projects.
- Prepare ad hoc reports as requested.
- Provide backup assistance to team members during peak volume times, including reviewing and analyzing Borrowing Base Certificates.
- Mentor less experienced Credit Monitoring Analysts.
- Complete Moody’s Credit Modules as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information and comply with Bank policies, regulations, and best practices.
- Adhere to Busey Bank policies, laws, and regulations.
- Maintain reliable and predictable attendance for both onsite and remote work.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Intermediate understanding of credit analysis and financial statements.
- Full understanding of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Full understanding of loan and collateral documents, including attorney-prepared documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend credit write-ups and loan documentation.
- Ability to prioritize workflow, multi-task, and work independently.
- Perform duties under frequent time pressures with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
- Minimum 2 years experience with credit loan documents and credit monitoring in the financial services industry.
- Experience with nCino and Jack Henry preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Base Pay Range: $69,000.00 - $96,000.00 per year. The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance.
