Tax Senior

Overview

is seeking a Tax Senior to join our Finance team. The role requires experience in income tax accounting, federal and state income tax compliance, and research of tax issues. The position reports to the Group Manager Tax and collaborates with the Finance department.

This position is open for remote work, with potential requirement for occasional onsite collaboration in Austin, TX, Mountain View, CA or Sherman Oaks, CA.

• Prepare ASC 740 quarterly and annual tax provisions and related memos.
• Prepare compliance schedules and work with external tax advisors on consolidated federal and multi-state tax returns.
• Assist with extensions and estimated tax payment calculations.
• Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with changing regulations.
• Provide support for ad‑hoc tax projects, audits, notices, and other company initiatives.
• Compile state apportionment schedules.
• Work with process automation and AI initiatives to improve efficiencies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar, with taxation courses.
• CPA preferred, but not required.
• 3‑5 years of corporate taxation experience, including public accounting.
• Experience preparing ASC 740 tax provisions for a publicly traded company.
• Strong background in consolidated federal and multi-state returns.
• Excellent business writing and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proficiency with Chat GPT or equivalent enterprise‑grade AI tools.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment with competing deadlines.
• Experience with Intelliconnect or similar online research platform.

Salary range: $77,600 – $124,200. Compensation depends on factors such as location, experience, education, and performance. Additional incentives may include an annual bonus, incentive bonus, and/or restricted stock units.
