Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks an Associate Director of Government Accounting to lead a finance team focused on compliant cost accounting and government rates.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, maintaining compliant cost accounting practices for home offices and various Mission Systems and Avionics business units.
- Coordinate, review, and disclose changes with supporting cost impact analyses for CASB Disclosure Statements.
- Prepare, submit, and support Forward Pricing Rate Proposals (FPRP) and negotiate Agreements (FPRA).
- Prepare rate-related analyses and disclosures to support TINA compliance.
- Prepare, submit, and support incurred cost claims including settlement of final rates.
- Ensure appropriate cost recovery while maintaining compliance with company policies, Cost Accounting Standards, and the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
- Maintain the government accounting framework, translating from performance accounting to government cost accounting.
- Interface with DCAA and DCMA on forward pricing rates, billing rates, incurred cost proposals, and related audits.
- Support government accounting aspects of acquisitions, divestitures, internal reorganizations, and other company initiatives.
- University degree in a related field with a minimum of 12 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 10 years of experience.
- Extensive experience with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) cost principles.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop people.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- Experience in a government business environment, familiar with CAS and FAR cost principles.
- Knowledge of DCAA/DCMA charters and procedures.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to summarize and communicate analyses at various management levels.
