Financial Planner – Retail (Remote or Hybrid)
What You Will Do- Understand the client’s personal and financial circumstance.
- Identify and define goals.
- Analyze the client’s current course of action and potential alternative courses.
- Develop and present comprehensive financial plans to retail clients using Money Guide Pro .
- Work with existing retail clients and onboard referrals from Advisors.
- Coordinate and schedule a multi‑meeting process with clients to obtain a full financial picture and present actionable next steps.
- Support Financial Advisor & Planner in creating a first‑in‑class client experience.
- Manage a pipeline of current retail clients.
- Communicate effectively with a wide demographic of client base.
- Showcase and communicate mastery of financial planning topics.
- Discuss all phases of comprehensive financial planning and offer Empower products and services where applicable.
- Initiate proactive/follow‑up phone calls on behalf of the participant to current or prior providers to coordinate next steps and implement client decisions.
- Build and solidify client relationships pre‑ and post‑retirement through a distinctive experience that leverages the unique value proposition.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience.
- MBA preferred, CFP required.
- FINRA Series7, 63, 65 registrations required.
- FINRA fingerprinting required.
- 3+ years’ experience in financial services or 401k industry.
- Minimum 2 years financial planning experience.
- Demonstrated ability to create and present comprehensive financial plans one‑on‑one with clients.
- Experience with financial planning software (Money Guide Pro , eMoney, Naviplan, etc.).
- Exceptional at delivering effective client consultations – always composed and professional.
- Superior active listening to elicit information, comprehend customer issues/needs, and recommend solutions.
- Proven application of all aspects of a client’s financial picture, including investments, insurance strategies, tax planning, education planning, retirement planning, and estate planning.
- Quickly establish trust and build long‑term client relationships.
- Proven ability to navigate multiple client needs, deliver on multi‑product sales goals, and analyze and present guidance to clients.
- Comprehensive PC skills and ability to quickly learn Empower’s software and systems.

$87,400.00 – $ (typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed). Non‑sales positions may participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives and a bonus plan, which may result in total compensation that far exceeds base salary.

Remote/Hybrid ConditionsRemote and hybrid positions require reliable high‑speed internet with a wired connection and a private workspace. Your home office must not be a disruption to your work. You may be required to work in the office if you do not have an adequate home work environment and the required internet connection.
