What You’ll Own

Under the direction of the Director of Finance, Loan Pro’s Accounting Clerk is responsible for recording journal entries, maintaining asset and liability schedules, reconciling balance‑sheet accounts, processing tax filings, and assisting in the month‑end close, quarterly summary and year‑end reporting. The role prepares financial reports and analysis, provides recommendations for improved processes and internal controls, and exemplifies excellent service aligned with Company core values.

  • Takes ownership of deep learning about our software, its functions, and how it fulfills our customers’ needs.
  • An essential function requires onsite work to collaborate with other team members; remote work is possible at manager’s discretion.
  • Understand, comply and adhere to GAAP practices, standards, and applications.
  • Assist in the accurate and timely month‑end close.
  • Administer and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Perform daily bookkeeping and journal entries as needed.
  • Manage collections and follow up with customers professionally.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure strict confidentiality of financial and employee information.
  • Attention to detail, focus and time‑management skills.
Essential Job Functions
  • Assist with closing the books and management of AR/AP.
  • Process accounts payable/receivable, enter daily invoices, journals, check runs, accruals and special projects.
  • Evaluate workflow processes to recommend and implement procedural and system changes.
  • Help Director of Accounting, Director of Finance and CFO with the annual audit.
  • Assist in providing schedules and commentary on operating maintenance accounts, working‑capital and cash‑flow reports.
  • Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Create and analyze liability, asset and capital accounts with electronic data.
  • Summarize and prepare financial status reports, including profit‑and‑loss statements.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local protocols and interpret legislation.
  • Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts and maintain month‑end schedules.
  • Adhere to accounting and finance best practices and company policies.
  • Prepare monthly accruals and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Meet internal and external deadlines for all responsibilities.
  • Monitor credit‑card accounts and verify that expenses are for business purposes.
  • Maintain the fixed‑asset ledger and monthly depreciation entries.
  • Review expenses to ensure accurate recording and avoid accidental asset expensing.
  • Assist with annual audits, providing schedules and roll‑forwards as required.
  • Input accounts payable and ensure on‑time payments.
  • Assist with preparation of company payroll for international and domestic employees.
  • Administer reconciliation of employee benefit bills to headcount.
  • Maintain the company master census.
  • Give, receive, and implement constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a positive and energetic attitude, supporting morale.
