Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting
As part of the Strategic Finance team at Uber, you will scale financial reporting, analytics, and planning capabilities to empower decision‑makers across our businesses and functions. You will play a key role in financial reporting and contribute to high‑profile strategic and operational initiatives that support Uber’s growth and profitability.
In the Ads Commercial Finance team you will support sales forecasting, target setting, and evaluation of return on investment and capital allocation for Uber’s Advertising organization. This role requires strong analytical rigor, advanced financial modeling skills, and the ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional environment.
What the Candidate Will Do- Partner with leaders to develop financial forecasts and operational goals.
- Apply business judgment and financial insights to decision‑making around new initiatives, products, and opportunities.
- Create sophisticated financial models, breaking complex problems into components, building models from scratch, and improving existing ones.
- Partner with the team to execute projects and operationalize insights.
- Build scalable, macro‑enabled financial models that streamline data consolidation.
- Evaluate LTV/CAC and Commercial KPIs.
- Demonstrate creativity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn new technical skill sets.
- BS/BA in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, or other relevant subject.
- 3+ years of proven experience.
- Strong background with SQL, Python and/or a statistical software package.
- Experience with Excel or Google Sheets.
- Outstanding analytical skills; efficient, scalable, intuitive models.
- Prior financial and/or analytical experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, or consulting.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Self‑starter with initiative, dedication, and goal‑orientation.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in an ambiguous, fast‑paced environment.
- Team‑first mentality in a highly collaborative environment.
- Attention to detail and execution focus.
For New York, NY-based roles: USD $131,000–USD $145,500 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: USD $131,000–USD $145,500 per year.
