CHARTER SCHOOL FINANCIAL PROFESSIONAL CAREER DESCRIPTION AND EXPECTATIONS

This is a remote position. Travel is periodic. Occasional overnights.

Description of Position

The Charter School Financial Professional (Consultant) is a career-oriented position created to enhance the quality of the services provided to clients of Prestige School Solutions. The Consultant is accountable to and receives direction from the company's Leadership Team. The Consultant works collaboratively with the firm's partners and with fellow consultants and data entry personnel.

The position will require a focus on the quality of the output produced by Prestige School Solutions and includes:

Knowledge and experience in governmental and/or non‑profit accounting
Overseeing the proper coding of all payroll, accounts payable, cash receipts, cash disbursements and other accounting transactions related to assigned charter school clients
Communicating with assigned charter school clients and their agents, vendors and employees
Overseeing the timely and proper processing of all assigned client payroll (and related taxes and insurance transactions) as well as scheduling payment of accounts receivable
Monitoring client budgets
Preparing monthly financial reports for client board members and school managers
Maintaining real‑time financial dashboards of client schools
Attending client board meetings (virtually) to deliver budget reports and respond to questions from board members.
Creating, reviewing and analyzing client operating budgets on a monthly basis
For those clients that are facing budget shortfalls, the Consultant will develop strategies to remedy shortfalls and provide competent advice and counsel to the client regarding the implementation of said strategies
Other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team.

Earn the respect of clients through mastery of budgeting, fiscal management and analysis. Promote and foster long‑term relationships with clients of Prestige School Solutions by making Prestige School Solutions and the services that the company provides indispensable to the client;

Provide constructive input to the Senior Partners.

Provide productive feedback and guidance to colleagues;

Facilitate the audit process for each assigned school by maintaining accurate and reliable financial records for assigned client schools;

Always speak positively of others with whom the Consultant works including co‑workers and clients, even in the face of more challenging personalities;

Contribute to a culture of positive reinforcement, encouragement and respect.

These expectations are broadly offered and broadly defined and will serve as the basis of evaluation of the Consultant's job performance.

Accountability

The Consultant will be ultimately accountable to the Supervising Consultant of Prestige School Solutions and will be evaluated by the same.

Compensation

Base salary range from $50,000- $80,000 depending upon experience. In addition to your base salary, benefits include participation in company-sponsored benefit programs, bonus and incentive opportunities, flexible paid sick and personal leave time, participation in company-sponsored 401k, being part of an amazing company culture, the ability to work remotely and considerable autonomy.

Education/Experience Requirements

The successful candidate will have at least 3-10 years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, finance or banking field and an advanced degree in any of the applied business sciences fields (accounting, banking, information technology, management, etc.). Preferred candidates will have a CPA license.

Candidates must be eligible for fidelity bonding (as determined by a satisfactory consumer‑credit rating), possess superior customer service and communication skills and have exceptional attention to detail.
