Operations Tax Specialist

Position: Operations Tax Specialist - Hybrid Role

You will play a crucial role in Fidelity Clearing Canada’s tax operations, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance management. Your responsibilities will involve serving as a subject-matter expert on tax reporting, executing vital year-end client processes, and addressing compliance issues. Collaborating across teams will also be essential for delivering effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle Canadian and US tax reporting including T4

RSP and NR4

• Execute client year-end tax procedures with precision

• Ensure compliance with FATCA and QI obligations

• Maintain effective audit and compliance ratings

• Resolve compliance-related issues proactively

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of tax processing expertise

• Familiarity with brokerage operations

• University degree; tax courses are a plus

• In-depth knowledge of tax filing processes

• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
