Role Description
This full-time Financial Services Consultant role is an on-site position based in Tampa, FL. The consultant will work directly with clients to understand their financial goals, assess their current financial situation, and recommend appropriate insurance and investment solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting client meetings, preparing financial analyses and proposals, presenting product options, and helping clients implement personalized financial strategies. The role also involves maintaining ongoing client relationships, monitoring financial plans, ensuring regulatory and compliance standards are met, and collaborating with internal teams and resources.
The consultant will be expected to build a local network, participate in community and business development activities, and stay current on industry trends and company offerings.
- Strong financial planning and analysis skills, including the ability to interpret financial data and develop tailored strategies.
- Excellent client relationship management skills, with a focus on active listening, trust-building, and long-term service.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, to explain complex financial concepts in clear terms.
- Sales and business development skills, including prospecting, networking, and opportunity management in the local market.
- Knowledge of insurance and investment products, and familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant licenses or willingness to obtain required securities and insurance licenses within a specified timeframe.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and professional ethics aligned with Mutual of Omaha’s values.
- Ability to work on-site in Tampa, FL, manage a structured schedule, and collaborate with office and home office teams.
- Proficiency with standard office software and financial planning tools; comfort using technology in client interactions.
