In the team Value and Risk Management – Insurance Risk Management (VRM-INS) we work daily to understand, quantify risks, and enable smart decisions – for AXA Germany and beyond.

What you can expect

You will take responsibility for the calculation, validation, interpretation, and reporting of central risk metrics in property and casualty insurance – based on our internal model after Solvency II.

Depending on your strengths and interests, you can set priorities, e.g. in the P&C risk capital calculation, natural catastrophe risks, in the ORSA process, or in other exciting risk topics.

• Focus:
  Evaluation of insurance risks according to Solvency II with our internal model
• Validation and interpretation of complex mathematical models
• Creation of meaningful reports and presentations for supervisory bodies and the board
• Data analysis and derivation of strategically relevant insights
• Close cooperation with underwriting, finance, and IT
• Direct support of CRO and CFO in strategic decisions
• Development of individual data models and algorithms
• Collaboration on international projects for model and reporting optimization

What you bring with you

Must-have

• Completed university degree in (business) mathematics, statistics, or economics with a quantitative focus
• Enthusiasm for risk models and data – this is really important to us!
• Self-initiative, commitment, and the ability to drive topics independently
• Good German and English skills (written and spoken)

Nice-to-have

• Begun or completed training as an actuary (m/w/d)
• Experience in actuarial science or risk management in property and casualty insurance
• Knowledge in financial mathematical and/or statistical methods, as well as in Solvency II
• Very good MS-Office skills
• You master one or more programming languages (e.g. Python)

Prior knowledge in the insurance sector is a plus, but not a prerequisite.
