About the roleAs a Senior Director in Commercial Banking at National Bank, you will be responsible for growing the portfolio of business clients entrusted to you. Your complex and varied tasks will allow you to quickly become the resource person for your clients' financial projects.
Responsibilities- Identify and develop business opportunities in your market, increase your business clientele and establish business development strategies.
- Help your clients achieve their business objectives by proposing financial strategies based on the most appropriate combination of Bank products and services.
- Meet changing needs by adapting and optimizing financial products and advice/approaches.
- Negotiate the terms and conditions of agreements with clients, while ensuring that they comply with risk management standards and profitability criteria.
- Assist the Associate Vice-President in achieving objectives.
- Actively participate in various networking activities (cocktail parties, conferences, etc.).
- Work in synergy with all other Bank departments.
You will join a team of specialists in Commercial and private Banking who support business clients. You will also be surrounded by an ecosystem of specialists, such as financing Solutions Managers, who will help you propose the solutions best suited to our clients' needs. Reporting to the Associate Vice-President you manage a portfolio of clients covering the GTA region.
Work is hybrid, so you’ll split your time between the office, visiting clients, networking events and working from home.

Prerequisites- Based on academic background, at least 5 to 9 years of business development experience in the financial industry.
- University certificate and 9 years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience.
- Master's degree and 5 years of experience.
- Experience in analyzing financial statements.
- Experience in commercial credit.
- A network of professional contacts among medium-sized and large local businesses, a major asset.
