Treasury Services Investment Accountant

This position will be located at our Office in Stevens Point, WI in a hybrid work model and is not a fully remote opportunity.

For this position, Sentry does not offer employment to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas.

• Completing the accounting, processing, and reconciliations for various integrated systems for investments and separate accounts
• Applying appropriate accounting principles and ensuring proper recording, assembling, and documentation of accounting data
• Preparing reports and financial statements, completing analysis and communicating results to internal and external stakeholders related to our investments and separate accounts
• Validating daily trading wires and pricing processes for separate accounts
• Providing primary support to internal and external auditors for several key annual controls and financial audits
• Developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders and collaborating with them on special projects, which may include recommending, implementing and testing enhancements to investment and separate account software
• Assisting with support, maintenance, upgrades, and enhancement of our investment accounting and separate account software

• Bachelor’s Degree required (Accounting preferred)
• CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam desirable
• 0‑2+ years of experience
• Work with a high level of independence and exercise sound decision making
• Proven ability to build relationships with team members and stakeholders
• Exceptional communication and analytical skills
• Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and meet deadlines with a high degree of personal initiative and self‑motivation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills or willingness to learn advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of or desire to learn investments, separate accounts, and insurance

• Hybrid work model:
  Monday and Friday work from home if chosen;
  Tuesday through Thursday in-office
